Most homeowners don't think about their HVAC system until something goes wrong. By then, a small issue has usually turned into a costly repair - or worse, a full replacement. That's exactly what regular maintenance is designed to prevent.

We recently serviced a Trane AC unit and a Trane XR95 gas furnace for a customer who wanted to stay ahead of any potential problems. The Trane XR95 is a solid, high-efficiency gas furnace, and when it's paired with a well-maintained outdoor AC unit, the whole system works together more reliably and efficiently.

During a standard tune-up like this, we're checking refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical components, cleaning what needs cleaning, and making sure everything is operating within spec. On the furnace side, that means checking the heat exchanger, burners, ignition, and more. It's not glamorous work, but it matters. A lot.

The difference between a system that lasts 15 years and one that barely makes it to 10 often comes down to how consistently it's been maintained. Catching a failing capacitor or a dirty burner early costs a fraction of what an emergency breakdown runs you - especially in the middle of summer or a cold snap.

This is the kind of work we do regularly, and we take it seriously. A service record sticker goes right on the unit so there's always a clear history of what's been done and when.
