Old furnaces don't quit all at once. They slow down, run longer, cost more to heat your home, and eventually leave you in the cold at the worst possible time. When a homeowner's old gas furnace hit that point, they called us - and we got to work.
We pulled out the old unit and installed a Lennox Elite EL297EK in its place. This is a two-stage gas furnace that modulates its output based on what your home actually needs, rather than just blasting full power every cycle. The result is more even heat, less wasted gas, and a system that puts a lot less wear on itself over time.
The install itself is pretty involved. Getting the wiring, gas line, PVC flue pipes, and condensate drainage all properly connected and routed takes real attention to detail. Our tech worked through the full setup - making sure every connection was solid and the unit was commissioned correctly before we called it done. We don't cut corners on the startup process, because that's where a lot of problems get introduced if someone rushes.
What the homeowner ends up with is a modern, efficient furnace that's built to last and sized right for their space. No more guessing whether the old unit is going to make it through another season. And because the Lennox Elite line is built with reliability in mind, regular maintenance on a unit like this goes a long way toward protecting that investment for years to come.
Furnace replacement is one of those jobs where the quality of the installation matters just as much as the equipment itself. A great furnace installed poorly won't perform the way it should. We take both seriously on every job we do.
