We were recently out in Beaverton checking in on a Lennox heat pump - one of those calls that doesn't look dramatic from the outside but makes a real difference for the homeowner.

Here's the thing about heat pumps: they run quietly in the background and most people don't think twice about them until something goes wrong. By then, you're usually looking at a bigger repair bill and a few uncomfortable days waiting on parts. A routine inspection gets ahead of that.

During a maintenance visit like this, we're checking that everything is operating the way it should - refrigerant levels, electrical connections, coil condition, airflow, and more. Nothing gets skipped just because the system looks fine from the outside. A unit can appear perfectly normal and still have something quietly working against its efficiency.

Lennox systems are well-built, but even solid equipment needs a set of trained eyes on it periodically. Catching a small issue early - a loose connection, early refrigerant loss, a coil starting to collect debris - is almost always cheaper and faster to fix than letting it go.

If you've got a heat pump and it's been a while since anyone looked at it, that's really all the reason you need to schedule a check. Peace of mind is worth a lot, especially heading into the warmer months when your system will be working harder.
