Most homes have one thermostat controlling the whole house. That means one room is always too hot, another is always too cold, and nobody's really comfortable. Zoning systems fix that - and that's exactly what we're working on here.
We're mid-install on an Emme Controls zoning system. This type of setup uses tubes and inflatable bladders that get fed directly into the existing ductwork through floor vent access points. Each bladder acts as a damper, opening and closing to control how much airflow reaches a specific room. No tearing out walls. No gutting the duct system. We work with what's already there.
The camera unit you see is doing the navigation work - helping us guide components through the duct runs accurately so everything lands exactly where it needs to be. That's the part most people don't think about. Getting the tubes and bladders seated correctly inside the ductwork takes patience and precision. Rushing it means problems later.
Once it's all connected and the Emme system is calibrated, the homeowner gets independent control over different areas of the home. The living room doesn't have to be the same temperature as the bedroom. Rooms that nobody uses stop getting conditioned air pumped into them all day. It's a smarter way to heat and cool a house - and honestly, most people notice a difference pretty quickly.
This kind of ductwork installation work sits right in our wheelhouse. Whether it's a full zoning system, duct repair, or a duct cleaning before a new system goes in - we take the same approach every time. Clean work. Careful setup. No shortcuts.
