Goodman AC Diagnostic and Routine Service in Tigard

Goodman AC Diagnostic and Routine Service in Tigard image

We were out in Tigard recently servicing a Goodman AC unit - diagnostic work plus routine maintenance to make sure everything was running the way it should. Nothing flashy, just the kind of thorough service that keeps a system reliable when you actually need it.

Here's the thing about AC maintenance that a lot of homeowners don't think about until it's too late - small issues tend to hide. A system can seem like it's "working" while quietly developing problems that chip away at efficiency or strain key components. That's exactly what diagnostic work is for. We check what the system is actually doing, not just what it looks like on the surface.

With a Goodman unit like this one, we're looking at electrical connections, refrigerant levels, how the condenser coils are doing, and whether the system is cycling correctly. We use a clamp meter to pull live electrical readings directly from the unit - that tells us a lot about how hard the system is working and whether anything is off. Catching a weak capacitor or a refrigerant issue early is a fraction of the cost of dealing with a full breakdown.

Routine service isn't the most exciting call we go on, but it's honestly some of the most valuable work we do. A well-maintained system runs more efficiently, lasts longer, and keeps your home comfortable without surprises. If your AC has been struggling to keep up or you just can't remember the last time it was serviced, it's worth getting it looked at.
